³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ East announces winners of first ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ East Sports Awards

³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ East Sports Awards celebrated the finest in sporting achievement over the past year and was attended by both professional and amateur sportsmen and women from across the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ East region.

The ceremony celebrated 10 different categories and was held at the American Air Museum, Duxford on Monday evening (12 November).
Ìý
The final award of the evening was the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ East Sports Personality of the Year. The award went to Lewis Hamilton.
Ìý
The ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ East Unsung Hero was awarded to Paul Webb. Paul will now go forward in the star-studded ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Sports Personality Of The Year programme, where an overall winner will be named.

The award ceremony was broadcast live on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Local Radio in the Region presented by Paul Stainton of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Three Counties Radio.

Highlights of the event hosted by Stewart White will be shown on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Look East.
