Celebrate the Grand Slam weekend with ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Wales

Following Wales' fantastic Triple Crown victory last weekend and building up to the Grand Slam decider with France in Cardiff on Saturday (15 March), ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Wales is planning a number of special programmes to celebrate the success of Warren Gatland's winning Wales team.

Alongside the TV coverage ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Wales, in conjunction with Cardiff City Council and South Wales Police, are putting together a family-friendly event with a big screen on King Edward VII Avenue in Cardiff's Civic Centre, to give fans in the capital a chance to show their support for the team.

Thousands of fans watched Wales beat Ireland on a ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Wales screen in the Civic Centre when the team last won the Grand Slam in 2005 and this year the site will have a capacity of approximately 7,000 people.

Free admission to the event, on Saturday 15 March, will be available on a first-come-first-served basis from noon and the screen will be showing live ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ coverage of all three matches kicking off with:

- Scotland v Italy at 1.00pm
- England v Ireland at 3.00pm
- Wales v France at 5.00pm

The special rugby-centred season of programmes kicks off on Thursday 13 March with a look back at the fantastic Grand Slam-winning campaign of three years ago in Grand Slam 2005 on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Wales digital TV service ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ 2W from 9.30pm.

Then on Friday 14 March, ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ 2W offers viewers another chance to see the classic Seventies comedy-drama Grand Slam which follows a group of Welsh rugby fans on the loose in Paris and stars Sion Probert, Hugh Griffith, Windsor Davies and Dewi Morris.

Following the exclusive live coverage of the Grand Slam clincher with France on Saturday 15 March – which can be seen on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ One Wales in Six Nations: Wales v France from 4.50pm and also on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Wales on S4C – there will be an extra programme Scrum V: The Grand Slam Decider on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ One Wales from 10.20pm featuring extensive highlights of the game.

On Sunday 16 March, Jason Mohammad returns to the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Wales Rugby Club in Cardiff for a special edition of Scrum V: Six Nations on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ One Wales from 10.20pm.

Joining Jason on the sofa to look back at Wales' 2008 Six Nations campaign are Wales head coach Warren Gatland, former Wales captain Gwyn Jones, Jonathan Davies and Ospreys scrum-half and former All Blacks captain Justin Marshall.

And on Wednesday 19 March in Six Nations Uncovered on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ One Wales from 7.30pm, there's a unique opportunity to look back at Wales' fantastic Six Nations campaign through the eyes of new coaches Warren Gatland and Shaun Edwards along with new captain Ryan Jones.
