Ìý

Rigsy will be catching up with the biggest and best acts, reliving some of the most blistering performances and speaking to the festival-goers.

Ìý

He says: "Every year ATL is at the festivals, bringing live music and behind the scenes banter, but now we're totally delighted to bring the TV cameras along to capture the biggest live music events in Northern Ireland and beyond.

Ìý

"The biggest names in rock and the best new talent from home will be rubbing shoulders on stage from Oxegen to Glasgowbury.

Ìý

Ìý

Rigsy says: "Oxegen boasted, without doubt, the best Irish festival line-up of all time and also featured a strange yellow spherical object in the sky which experts identified as 'the Sun'.

Ìý

"This hour-long special will have fantastic live music, backstage chats, field reports and craic.

Ìý

"We talk to The Prodigy, capture Kings of Leon's headline set and bring you some of the biggest buzz performances from Ireland's finest musical weekend."

Ìý

The following week, on Thursday 14 August, ATL Summer Live will turn its attention to the Glasgowbury festival in Draperstown, featuring live music and chat from headliners Ash and other acts, including Fighting With Wire.

Ìý

The show will also boast a feature on the north west's Celtronic festival, a week-long celebration of electronica featuring live music from local acts such as Alloy Mental and Japanese Popstars.

Ìý

And in the final two programmes, on Thursday 21 August and Thursday 28 August, ATL Summer Live will be reliving all the magic from Belfast's Belsonic festival with exclusive coverage of the three-day event from Custom House Square.

Ìý

Acts performing at Belsonic include The Flaming Lips, The Zutons, The Enemy, The Mystery Jets, Mogwai, The Go! Team, Oppenheimer, Jape and Reverend And The Makers.

Ìý
