A Cross The Universe – a no-holds barred documentary about life on the road with French DJ duo Justice – will receive its UK premiere at this year's ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Electric Proms.
Ìý
The teaser for the film is available online exclusively at the Electric Proms website from today.
Ìý
The film captures Justice's recent North American tour, when they were followed and filmed by multi-awarded directors and intimate friends of the band, Romain Gavras and So-Me.
Ìý
They were inspired by the idea that, without anyone to film you 24/7, no one will believe what you tell them.
Ìý
Justice and the directors will be on hand to introduce the film, followed by a very special pre-clubbing DJ set by Justice and other Ed Banger DJs.
Ìý
Director Romain Gavras directed four music videos that have been qualified as some of the most important videos of 2008: DJ Mehdi, Signatune; Simian Mobile Disco, I Believe; Last Shadow Puppets, The Age of the Understatment; and Justice, Stress.
Ìý
The film will be released on DVD with a live CD on 24ÌýNovember 2008
Ìý
Arctic Monkeys At The Apollo will also receive its Liverpool premiere at FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) as part of the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Electric Proms.
Ìý
The film features the last gig in the band's acclaimed 2007 world tour, shot at their Manchester Apollo show.
Ìý
It was directed by Richard Ayoade (regular Warp Films music video director and actor from The Mighty Boosh and The IT Crowd).
Ìý
The film will be screened on one day only in cinemas nationwide on 14 October, and in Liverpool with the Electric Proms.
Ìý
It will be released on DVD on 3 November 2008.
