³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ WM's newest recruit, Joanne Malin, begins her new morning show on the station from 9.30am on Monday 2 February.
Mornings With Joanne Malin will offer listeners a vibrant, upbeat mid-morning mix of music and chat.
The new show revolves around real people, who share real passions, with a generous sprinkling of showbiz gossip and guests included for good measure.
One of the regular features on the show is Malin's Money Club where Joanne aims to help listeners save money on a range of things, from cutting their weekly shopping bill to finding a budget wedding.
If all of that is not enough to whet ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ WM's listener's appetites, Joanne is also joining Phil Upton for the last half-hour of his breakfast show; so lively and interesting banter, from two icons of the region, should be the order of the day.
Joanne joins ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ WM after presenting ITV Central News for the last ten years.
Born in Moseley, Joanne left Birmingham when she was 18 years old to attend the Italia Conti Theatre School in London to study Performing Arts. After graduating, Joanne worked as a dancer in musical theatre, before deciding to retrain as a journalist. While training, she undertook a period of work experience at ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ WM and succeeded in getting her first report on the air.
Joanne is no stranger to radio presenting, having previously presented the breakfast show on Capital Gold and also worked for Virgin Radio and the Chiltern Radio Group in Northampton and Dunstable.
With her new show on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ WM, Joanne is making a welcome return to her roots in radio.
Joanne says: "Moving from television news to presenting two-and-a-half hours of live radio is a massive challenge for me but I am really looking forward to 'going live' now and entertaining the listeners of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ WM."
She continues: "Of course I am a little nervous, but I have a great team behind me here at the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ and I am confident that together we will produce a programme that will be entertaining to current listeners and new listeners alike."
Mornings With Joanne Malin is followed by Lunch With Ed Doolan.
Ed is on air from noon to 2.00pm, bringing listeners a mix of news, weather and sport, along with in-depth consumer advice. Lunch With Ed Doolan is the home of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ WM's big phone-in of the day where Ed gets stuck in, tells it as it is and encourages interaction, comments and opinions.
Ed says: "This is terrific news because it will reshape our daytime schedule, I'm really excited about my new lunchtime show."
³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ WM broadcasts on 95.6 FM, DAB digital radio and online.
