Radio Ulster remains Northern Ireland's most listened to radio station

³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Ulster remains the number one listened to radio station in Northern Ireland with an average weekly audience of 531,000 listeners tuning in each week according to the latest RAJAR (Radio Joint Audience Research Ltd) figures released today.

The figures for Quarter One 2009 show that Radio Ulster has had an increase of 14,000 listeners from the last period (Quarter 4, 2008) and a decrease of 8,000 listeners compared to the same period last year (Quarter 1, 2008).

The top performing Radio Ulster programmes according to average weekly reach are:

  • The Stephen Nolan Show, broadcast Mondays-Fridays, 9.00-10.30am, with 139,000 listeners
  • Gardeners' Corner, broadcast on Saturdays, 9.00-9.30am, with 106,000 listeners
  • Good Morning Ulster, broadcast Mondays-Fridays, 6.30-9.00am, with 105,000 listeners
  • On Your Behalf, broadcast on Saturdays from 9.30-10.00am, with 100,000 listeners
  • Gerry Anderson, broadcast Mondays-Fridays, 10.30am-12noon, with 94,000 listeners

³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Foyle, meanwhile, has an average weekly audience of 26,000 listeners.
