³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Bristol breakfast show presenter Richard Wyatt is to leave the radio station later this summer following his decision to relocate to Devon.
Richard, who for decades was one of the best known faces on regional television in the West, joined Radio Bristol two years ago.
Having retired from daily broadcasting, initially he was invited on to the airwaves as a guest presenter for just a few weeks.
However, he was such a hit with the audience and enjoyed himself so much that he was signed for a longer stint by the station.
He said: "I've had a fantastic time on the breakfast show and feel I've made a lot of new friends in the listeners to the programme.
"When I started at ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Bristol I had to put my studies for my history PhD on hold, but now I'm really looking forward to getting my books out again when we move down to Devon.
"I'll really miss the Radio Bristol team and all the listeners, but I'll have plenty of time to say a proper farewell to everybody. I never thought I'd enjoy my return to the microphone so much."
Managing Editor Tim Pemberton paid tribute to Richard: "Richard has been great to work with and finding a replacement as popular will not be easy.
"His love of Bristol, the arts and everything going on in our city has endeared him to our listeners.
"Although we wish him all the very best for his move to Devon, I really hope we'll be able to tempt Richard back to do the odd show every now and again."
³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Bristol's breakfast programme is broadcast Monday to Friday on 94.9, 104.6 & 103.6 FM across Bristol, Bath, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
