³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Lincolnshire goes yellow!

³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Lincolnshire will be "wearing yellow" as it celebrates all that is great about the county on this year's Lincolnshire Day tomorrow, Thursday 1 October.

Station Managing Editor Charlie Partridge says: "Since the launch of Lincolnshire Day four years ago, we've taken it up a notch or two and this year's events and coverage will be bigger than ever!"

To begin the celebrations, breakfast show presenter Rod Whiting will be challenging listeners to turn up to Lincoln High Street and prove their Lincolnshire credentials by taking a gruelling Lincolnshire Knowledge Test to see whether they qualify for a COLin (Citizen Of Lincolnshire) award.  Certificates will be issued to the few who succeed!

There will be live broadcasts from a farm shop at Grayingham where ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Lincolnshire's James Wickham will be celebrating Lincolnshire as the country's top food-producing county.

There will be live coverage from events across the county, reflecting how Lincolnshire is marking Lincolnshire Day.

The station will also be live at a local primary school, to see how the children have been making Lincolnshire Flags and learning to sing The Lincolnshire Poacher.

In addition, throughout the day the station will be showcasing Lincolnshire's new bands by playing their music on air.

To be part of it, why not wear something yellow, fly the Lincolnshire flag and eat some local produce?

If you are celebrating Lincolnshire Day you can send your pictures to lincolnshire@bbc.co.uk – they're also keen to hear about your favourite Lincolnshire places, so send in your emails.

You can follow the day's events on Twitter – twitter@bbclincolnshire.

³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Look North will also mark Lincolnshire Day as weatherman Paul Hudson presents the weather broadcast live from Lincoln Cathedral.
