As part of the newly reopened Phoenix Cinema's re-launch celebrations, Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo will broadcast their ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio 5 Live Film Review live from the Finchley venue on Friday 8 October between 2pm and 4pm.
In front of a 250 strong audience, the popular Friday programme will feature a mix of film reviews and audience questions, plus interviews with Aaron Sorkin, creator, writer of The West Wing, who will be talking about the screenplay for his new movie, The Social Network, and Guillermo del Toro, acclaimed director of Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth, who will discuss his first book, The Strain.
As one of the largest independent cinemas in North London and the oldest purpose built cinema in the UK, the Phoenix provides a perfect location to host a special edition of the show, particularly as Mark Kermode is also a patron.
With 360,000 downloads in July 2010, Kermode and Mayo's Film Review continues to be one of the most popular film review podcasts in the UK.
You can listen to ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio 5 Live and ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio 5 Live Sports Extra via DAB radio, online at bbc.co.uk/5live, or via digital Freeview, Sky, Freesat, Virgin Media and 909 & 693AM.
