C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ announces new suite of gamesÌýfeaturing Shaun the Sheep!

Shaun the Sheep and friends

C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ viewers are now able to get even more involved with the rural antics of Shaun the Sheep and his friends through Championsheeps: a newÌýsuite of onlineÌýgames available on the C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ website.

Ìý

Developed by Aardman Digital, Championsheeps is a collection of games created to give C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ fans brand new content to engage with online and support brand new episodes of Shaun The Sheep which start airing on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ One and C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ from 6 December.

The gamesÌýsee Shaun and friends left alone on the farmyard for the day,Ìýwhere they entertainÌýthemselves by holding an Olympic style competition to see who will be crowned the Championsheep of the farm.

The five games are contained within an overarching Championsheeps environment, which tracks scores and achievements, allowing C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ members to challenge each other and compare scores.

The games are all set around the farm and represent different sporting or outdoor activities with a surreal, Shaun the Sheep twist,Ìýfrom balancing a flock of sheep in a tower, to swinging sheep from the rooftop,Ìýto trying to outrun an alien!

The new games will form part of the brand new C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ site for Shaun The Sheep, which can be found at bbc.co.uk/cbbc/shaunthesheep.

Catherine McAllister, C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Multiplatform Executive, said: "We are very excited about the launch of the new Shaun the Sheep games, The Championsheeps, launching on C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳. Aardman have brought their unique style and humour to five great games which are a delight to play again and again."

Aardman Digital, the digital department at Aardman Animations, has designed and built the Championsheeps games with the same production values as the TV show, ensuring quality of animation and humour is maintained for the C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ audience.

The scenes and characters in the games have been created using some of the most complex animation production techniques Aardman Digital has developed to date, combining photographic elements from Shaun the Sheep setsÌýwith CGI animation and Flash animation.

Lorna Probert, Head of Aardman Digital, said: "This has been a great, fun project to work on with the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ and we are delighted to increase the presence of Shaun the Sheep on the C³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ website. We hope our Shaun fans will enjoy playing the games and engage with the flock in their usual naughty and humorous ways."

The five games which form Championsheeps are:

1.ÌýFlock Together

In an effort to cram as many sheep into the barn as possible, each player must try and swing the sheep into the barn and position them next to their friends wearing the same brightly coloured leotard. Once enough sheep are correctly grouped together they can exit the barn, popping out to safety.

2.ÌýAlien Athletics

A visiting UFO is in hot pursuit of Shaun and two of his friends. The player must help them escape by hurdlingÌýthe various obstacles that get in their way.

3.ÌýSheep Stack

This game tests theÌýbalancing skills of each player as they try and stack a wobbling flock of sheep in order to reach an open window to get inside the building.

4.ÌýBaahmy Golf

Shaun is very, very bad at golf and it is the player's responsibility to control Shaun's swing to ensure he hits as many farm objects as possibleÌýto try and gain as manyÌýpoints as they can.

5.ÌýChick n'ÌýSpoon

Players must help Shaun get as far as possible in the egg and spoon race before the egg hatches into a rather uncooperative chick!Ìý

The first episode of the new series will be shown on Monday 6 December at 15.50 on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ One.
