EastEnders: E20 has been nominated for best online drama at this year's Webby Awards. The Webby Awards, which take place in New York, honour excellence online, including websites, interactive advertising, online film and video, and mobile and apps.
E20 is a coming of age show exploring how teenagers survive without adults on the Square while clashing against the institutional residents of Walford.
E20 is written by 15 young Londoners and gives new talent a voice. Its training ethos doesn't stop there - actors, directors, and crew are all given the opportunity to cut their teeth on this groundbreaking show.
Series One of the online soap had over 3.3 million requests across the EastEnders website, ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ iPlayer and ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Red Button. Series Two continued to build on this success and the third series starts filming in May.
Deborah Sathe, Producer, E20, says: "I am so proud of what we have achieved with EastEnders: E20, and to be nominated for a Webby proves how far the series has come. I am so excited that we are on the brink of filming our third series, after having such fun making the first two. I can't wait for the audience to meet the latest batch of characters and watch the new kids rock the Square."
