Professor Brian Cox returns with unplugged lecture for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Two

Blackboard. Chalk. Studio audience. Professor Brian Cox goes back to basics in an unplugged lecture that will take a live audience of famous faces, scholars and amateur enthusiasts on a journey through some of the most challenging concepts in physics in A Night With The Stars (working title) on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Two.

Explaining some of particle physics' biggest ideas, Brian will take his audience of novices and experts deep into the world of quarks, leptons and the Higgs boson particle. Delving into the secrets of the subatomic, Brian will use his work at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) to describe the fundamental particles that explain life, the universe, and everything.

Janice Hadlow, Controller ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Two, says: "A Night With The Stars is a great opportunity to combine Brian's scientific expertise with the natural, witty and spontaneous talent that we have seen on Stargazing Live and on The Infinite Monkey Cage on Radio 4. It's an exciting new departure for Brian Cox in 2012."
