³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ One Daytime drama Moving On returns for third series

³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ One's acclaimed Daytime series Moving On, created by multi-award winning writer Jimmy McGovern, returns with five standalone films featuring a wealth of well-known faces including: Fay Ripley, Reece Dinsdale, Paul Rhys, Alastair McKenzie, Christine Bottomley, Dean Lennox Kelly, Ben Daniels, Eva Pope, Sally Philips, Warren Brown and Rob James Collier.

The series was filmed on location in and around Liverpool by Liverpool-based company LA Productions. The series explores contemporary issues, from gambling addiction and the lot of a soldier's wife to infertility, teenage depression and gentrification – all linked by the common theme of characters who reach a turning point in life and then move on.

Liam Keelan, Controller of ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Daytime and Executive Producer for the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳, says once again the calibre of actors attracted to Moving On is brilliant news for Daytime drama: "It's very exciting to have such a high profile cast for this series again and it will be something really special for our viewers to look forward to."

Series one was first shown in May 2009, series two in November 2010 – both were a hit with the Daytime audience and achieved a successful move from Daytime to Peak.

Says Liam: "As the sole provider of originated drama in Daytime, it's really important that ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ One continues to deliver distinctive dramas such as Moving On."

The series was created by EMMY winner and multi BAFTA award-winning writer Jimmy McGovern.

Says Jimmy: "The series gets off to a brilliant start with Tour Of Duty, written by the up and coming Lena Rae. The Milkman comes next with John Fay's debut as writer/director, featuring star-in-the-making Shaun Mason. Arthur Ellison's very, very funny Punter is next, followed by Shaun Duggan's Donor, with a brave and stunning performance from Sally Phillips aided and abetted by a great supporting cast.

"We end with Esther Wilson's Poetry Of Silence, a courageous and authentic study of a young man's mental illness. High quality, risk-taking drama from ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Daytime."

Moving On is produced by Colin McKeown of LA Productions who says the quality of the first two series helped to attract the cast for the third: "The first two series showed that we had the acting talent, directors and both new and established writers to make some amazing drama for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Daytime.

"We have used the same winning combination again to make five new films, and securing these big name actors to be part of Moving On shows how brilliantly written the third series is."

Moving On is executive produced for the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ by Liam Keelan and is due for transmission on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ One at 2.15pm on 14 November 2011, stripped in the schedule across the week.
