Michael Vaughan speaks to some of the top names in sport about the pressures that they face in the heat of keen competition in a 5 Live Sport special broadcast on Thursday 27 October at 8.00pm.
The former England cricket captain, and co-presenter Eleanor Oldroyd, will hear from Jessica Ennis, Roy Keane, Chris Waddle and Chris Evans about their coping techniques and how they replicate pressure in training and apply it to a competitor's advantage.
Featuring interviews with sports personalities from football, athletics and cricket among others, the programme finds out how pressure affects competitors, managers and even broadcasters at the top level in their professions.
Former Manchester United player and Sunderland and Ipswich boss Roy Keane discusses how managers deal with pressure on their team and on themselves; Chris Waddle shares his thoughts on how pressure affects England's footballers when it comes to taking penalties at an international level; and London 2012 hopeful Jessica Ennis shares her thoughts on her mental preparations for next year's Olympic Games.
5 Live Sport: Pressure also hears from broadcaster Chris Evans about the pressures of live broadcasting and how he felt taking over the reins from the legendary Sir Terry Wogan on Radio 2's Breakfast Show.
