Eileen struggles balancing her health with her commitment to Caitlin and there are dangerous consequences. Meanwhile, Deek struggles to find a new purpose.
A tired and pregnant Eileen is feeling unwell but conceals it from Raymond and Caitlin. Raymond prompts Eileen again to tell social services about the pregnancy but Eileen would rather spend the day bonding with Caitlin. Raymond confides in Liz and Malcolm that he fears that Eileen is taking on too much with the baby and Caitlin. When Eileen and Caitlin return to The Ship after a busy shopping trip, Raymond tells Eileen off for rushing around all afternoon. Eileen brushes off Raymond's concerns but, as she heads to the toilet, she gets another twinge which makes her anxious. Eileen heads out in discomfort and pays a visit to Ruth and Gina at The Oyster. Ruth insists that she makes an appointment with the doctor. Eileen finally comes clean to Raymond and promises to go straight to the hospital if she feels any more pain.
Raymond then takes it upon himself to call social services and tell them about Eileen's pregnancy. Mrs Allison, of course, delivers the news Eileen and Raymond don't want to hear - that they may have to reassess the fostering situation now Eileen is pregnant. Eileen is angry at Raymond for calling social services and Caitlin gets upset when she finds out what's going on. Eileen promises she won't let social services take Caitlin away, but Raymond is angry she's making promises she can't keep. Raymond tells Eileen that fostering might not be the best thing for them. However, Caitlin overhears them and runs away. As they search for Caitlin, Eileen doubles up in pain. An alarmed Raymond takes her to the hospital. Big Bob steps in to offer to search in Raymond's absence. Bob finds Caitlin at the basketball court and tells her about Eileen being rushed to hospital. He tells Caitlin he was also in care and mentions that Eileen and Caitlin have a special bond which will never be broken. When Eileen and Raymond arrive back home they are surprised to see Mrs Allison is with Caitlin. Caitlin tells Eileen that she's asked to move placements so that Eileen can take care of herself and the baby. As Caitlin leaves Eileen breaks down and sobs.
Fraser is delighted when the Heavenly Herbals website seems to be a hit but Murray urges him to be cautious. When Fraser goes to The Oyster to drop off some promotional flyers, Gina introduces him to Jo and he likes what he sees. In the Deli, when Jo's inviting Iona to join the girls for champagne, Theresa overhears them and wangles herself an invite. Iona then gives Theresa and Fraser the low-down on Jo's bereavements and wealth. This pricks Theresa's interest. Fraser asks Jo for a coffee at Carly's Cafe. Fraser suggests providing a selection of Heavenly Herbals goods for Ruth's wedding. Jo negotiates a discount and agrees to let Fraser pitch his idea to the ladies that afternoon. Later Ruth is surprised to find so many people in her flat and Fraser making a sales pitch, but she is quite happy to go along with it. Fraser continues to flirt with Jo and, unseen, Theresa takes a photo of Joanne and Fraser on her phone; she is clearly up to something...
