On Remembrance Sunday, Kate speaks to Colonel Tim Collins about his time in the army, defence cuts and Remembrance. We hear what the day means to veterans of four conflicts.
Kate's guest on Remembrance Sunday is Colonel Tim Collins, most famous for his rousing speech to British soldiers hours before they entered into battle in Iraq. More recently, he's claimed that the UK government and military leaders had "absolutely no idea" what to do after invasion.
Kate also has a review of the papers, and discusses two of the week's big talking points in the 5 live Forum. This week, when should we use the military to intervene abroad? And does peaceful protest work as a way of changing government policy?
At 11am, there's live coverage of the Remembrance Sunday commemorations from the Cenotaph, preceded by a feature with veterans from the Battle of Britain, The Falklands, Iraq and Afghanistan talking about their experience of war, and why it's important to remember.
