Jane tells Masood that Ian knows about their hotel visit. Zainab manages to find Ian, and boast about the Argee Bhajee, despite Masoods efforts to keep the two apart. Later, Ian confronts and punches Masood. Ian apologises to Jane, claiming he’s going to put it all behind them, then heads to Glenda’s flat.

Glenda needs rent money. She tries and fails to tap Phil, then traps her shoe in a drain so Ian will rescue her, before flirting with him in the cafe. Ian hears Carol reminding Glenda about the rent. That evening, Ian arrives at Glenda’s flat and hands her some money, he thinks they can come to some arrangement. Glenda lets him in.

Summoned to a secret breakfast at Syed’s flat, Tamwar presumes Syed’s annoyed about the Argee Bhajee. In truth, Syed’s determined to stop Tamwar giving up Afia to please Masood, sure his father’s having an affair with Jane. Syed invites Afia and Tamwar to his flat. At first the atmosphere is strained, but the pair soon start playfully bickering. They decide their families’ feud is pointless and defiantly go to the Masoods’ together; unfortunately, when Masood finds Afia in his house he throws her out, furious. Syed confronts Masood – let Tamwar see who he likes, or he’ll tell Zainab about Jane. Masood calls Syed’s bluff.

Julie has a disastrous first day cleaning the Vic, Kat eventually agrees to give her another chance.

Realising Dot’s lonely, Heather persuades her to join the local choir.

Stacey tells Ryan she didn’t want to leave any unfinished business in Walford. The pair flirt with one another, Ryan kisses Stacey but she’s unimpressed when he drops her as soon as Julie walks in. Stacey gives Ryan an ultimatum: leave Janine, or leave her alone.
