Mozart's Linz Symphony

Tom Service is joined by the 成人论坛 Scottish Symphony Orchestra and conductor Andrew Manze to explore Mozart's Symphony No 36 (Linz), a work which was composed in just four days.

Mozart's Symphony No. 36, is known as the 'Linz Symphony' because it was composed in just four days during a visit to the Austrian town of Linz. Tom Service joins the 成人论坛 Scottish Symphony Orchestra and conductor Andrew Manze to explore this incredible work. He also talks with Fraser Trainer about an education project which the orchestra ran alongside this Discovering Music recording, which involved players from the orchestra working with Glasgow School Students and National Youth Orchestra of Scotland players, writing a new piece in the same amount of time as Mozart.
