EU leaders are meeting to discuss defences in case the Eurozone crisis makes a comeback and Nick Clegg visits a research centre to speak about the need to rebalance the economy.

The leaders of countries in the European Union are all gathering in Brussels, and the Eurozone crisis - despite not being on the agenda originally - will be at the forefront of politicians' minds. The programme hears from Gerard Lyons, chief economist at Standard Chartered, and Nigel Cassidy, our Europe Business Correspondent in Brussels, about the plans being hatched in case another country needs a bailout.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, is in Yorkshire visiting a research centre, giving a speech about how the UK needs to rebalance its economy. That means expanding manufacturing across the country, and becoming less reliant on financial services in the South East of England. We discuss this in depth with Steve Radley, director of policy at EEF, the manufacturers' organisation.

Finally, since the recession, the United States economy has rebounded back quite strongly but it's been mostly a jobless recovery. Later today its latest job figures are out. We ask Roger Farmer, a professor in economics at the University of California in Los Angeles, why so few jobs are being created if the US economy is said to be growing?
