Desmond Carrington hosts a second series of Icons of the 50s, celebrating some of his favourite artists from that decade.

Each programme includes words and music from a star personality of the 50s, first heard on Radio Luxembourg and the 成人论坛 Light Programme. This series, Desmond shares the presentation with the veteran singer and broadcaster Sir Jimmy Young, who also contributes one of his own records to each programme.
