A massacre in Syria is condemned by the UN, Sol Campbell says fans shouldn't go to Euro 2012 because of racism, rebels declare an Islamic state in Mali and a film phone-in too.

The UN Security Council has condemned the use of heavy weapons by Syria's government during a massacre in which 108 people were killed and 300 injured. We get the latest from our correspondent, Jane O'Brien in Washington. And middle east expert Kenneth Timmerman tells us the violence means the Kofi Annan's peaceplan is completely finished.

The former England international, Sol Campbell, says fans shouldn't go to Euro 2012 because of racism in the host countries of Poland and Ukraine. Wasiu Sodeinde from African Outlook Online in America is aware of just how bad racism is in Ukraine, and tells us the stories of several African students who've witnessed it first-hand. He says Ukraine should never have been chosen as tournament hosts.

There's been celebratory gunfire in towns in northern Mali after competing rebel groups announced that they'd merged in order to create an independent Islamic state. Martin Vogl is our man in the capital, Bamako. He tells us the men who are leading the new Islamist regime are basing themselves on Al Qaeda.

A drama about Fred West was the big winner at the BAFTA awards. Our entertainment correspondent, Colin Paterson, gives us all the results. He also speaks to Dominic West, who played the serial killer. He explains his concerns about taking on such a challenging character.
