Lucy decides to throw a party to celebrate the fact that Mandy is out of her life, but it falls flat when she makes a shocking discovery about Ian's whereabouts.

Ian hasn’t come home all night. Lucy assumes he’s honeymooning alone. Lauren thinks Lucy should celebrate Mandy’s departure. Lucy plans a house party but excludes Lauren. Phil warns Ben to watch Lucy in case Ian contacts her. During the party, Lucy discovers Ian’s passport amidst some final demands. She throws everyone out and shows Ben the passport – Ian’s in debt and she doesn’t know where he is.
Janine’s irritated to see Michael and Jean talking conspiratorially. Michael jokes they’re having an affair. Michael advises business is booming and tells Jean to quit Butcher’s Joints. Jean wants to invest £10,000 – the Vic’s VAT money. Michael refuses. Jean gives Michael a chain for his St Christopher. Michael’s touched. Janine thinks Jean’s obsessed with Michael. Janine’s surprised when Michael defends Jean. Jean insists she and Michael are friends and talk about faith, revealing Michael’s St Christopher was a gift from his mother. Janine confronts Michael, who spots Jean listening. He claims Jean’s delusional, but later tells her he was hurt when she betrayed his confidence. Jean asks again to invest the VAT money and hands over the cash as Michael smiles.
Alice hasn’t returned Derek’s calls. Cora suggests he write a letter. Tanya hotly insists Alice is better off, Cora discovers that Tanya warned Alice away. Derek witters about Alice, Jack presents him with pen and paper. Cora admires Derek’s letter. Noting Tanya’s awkwardness, Derek realises Tanya scared Alice off. Furious, Derek screws up his letter and walks out.
Andrew arrives; he was going to see Heather’s gravestone but couldn’t get off the train. Patrick’s surprised when Andrew heads to the Launderette. Patrick, Kim and Andrew sit on the floor drinking whisky. Patrick apologises for thinking Andrew murdered Heather. Andrew lays flowers on Heather’s gravestone. Patrick offers to let Andrew stay with them.
