The Director of Public Prosecutions says online "banter, jokes and offensive comment are commonplace and often spontaneous" but shouldn't always be prosecuted. So where should we draw the line on free speech -- what counts as banter and what's a crime?

Bright schoolchildren are being let down by the "curse" of mixed-ability lessons, according to the head of Ofsted. Should cleverer kids be split up from those that need more support? Or can dumping someone in the bottom group stigmatise them for life?
