Alfie's big plan to save Christmas gathers support, but Kat worries her lover has an ulterior motive for sending Alfie away. A desperate Lauren decides to come clean to the police.

Alfie opens property details for the George Street bedsit with a note ‘Open house at 2pm’. Kat tells her lover to stop pestering her. Alfie turns the Vic into a German ‘beer keller’. The Branning brothers and Tyler suggest Alfie go to Germany and bring back samples for the proposed German market. After her lover texts, Kat heads to the bedsit. She rubs a message he’s written off the mirror and bins her key. Back at the Vic, Kat’s just persuaded Alfie they can’t afford the Germany trip when an anonymous parcel arrives giving Alfie the means to go. Kat’s lover sends another text ‘Finally, I’ve got you all to myself’. Kat panics.

Lauren thinks telling the police the truth might put things right with Joey. Tanya begs her not to and Lauren just tells the officers Joey wasn’t driving dangerously. Joey’s slept at R&R and refuses Derek’s offer of a rent free room. Joey’s taken to the police station. As he’s leaving he sees Lauren heading in. He reveals they’ve upped the charge to dangerous driving and insists even if she told the truth it wouldn’t change anything between them. Tanya sees Lauren buying vodka. Later, Lauren breaks down – Joey doesn’t love her. Near to tears herself, Tanya comforts her daughter.

Cora won’t talk to Patrick. She finds out about Lauren’s accident and accuses Tanya of deliberately not telling her.

Poppy’s worried; her wages won’t cover all the final demand bills. Tamwar suggests she takes in a lodger. Although he’s stuck on the Masoods’ sofa Fatboy gallantly tells Joey about the room instead of moving in himself.

Bianca’s slept on the floor. She panics when the police arrive looking for Derek. Bianca’s trial at Booty’s a disaster, Poppy suggests she does another one on Monday when Tanya’s there.
