Don't Go Breaking My Heart

Johnnie Walker celebrates his 200th Sounds of the '70s and is joined by songstress Kiki Dee to talk about her 40-year career, duets with Elton John, and a famous pair of dungarees.

In his 200th Sounds of the 70s, Johnnie Walker spins the hits and digs out the rarities from the decade of glitter, glam-rock and The Good Life.

This week he meets Kiki Dee, a singer best known for her Number 1 smash 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' with Elton John. But she is so much more than that pair of dungarees. Johnnie talks to Kiki about her career that spans more than 40 years, from her 60's emergence after singing back-up to Dusty Springfield, appearing on the Benny Hill show and signing to Elton's Rocket Records. Johnnie was a big fan of Kiki's 1973 album release 'Loving And Free', and spins some of his favourites from the record. Kiki Dee has recently been working with guitarist Carmelo Luggeri and talks to Johnnie about her current work and plans for touring in 2013.
