Johnnie Walker hears the 1970s memories of Karl Bartos, the German musician and composer best known as a quarter of electronic pioneers Kraftwerk.

Johnnie Walker celebrates the decade of prawn cocktail, black forest gateau and fondue.

Johnnie talks to Karl Bartos, the German musician and composer most notably a member of Kraftwerk's classic seventies line-up. He joined the band in 1975 at the age of twenty two, and appeared on their seminal albums Radio-Activity, Trans-Europe Express and The Man-Machine.

Together with Johnnie he'll cover his memories of the decade, the music that mattered to him and the experience of being part of a band that were pioneers in the field of electronic music.

Plus, Johnnie will feature another outstanding live album in I Was There. This week it's the turn of Live! By Status Quo. Recorded using the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio in 1976, the album received the Classic Album Award at the 2012 Classic Rock Roll Of Honour Awards.
