Young garden designer James Fraser visits Margaret Gimblett in her garden in Grandtully Perthshire to appreciate it with a contemporary designer's eye. This is an acre garden set on a windy, stony hillside, where Margaret has created a garden for all seasons including a small walled area with climbers, herbaceous beds and at the centre a mirror pool. A major feature is a perfectly executed Japanese water garden complete with tea house.
