All the way from Leeds, we present the mighty Cowtown! Plus all the way from Timperley, the equally mighty Cowboy Rob Hughes with his Americana tunes.

Cowtown are a post-punk three piece from Leeds consisting of founding member Hilary Knott on synthesizers/vocals, Jonathan Nash on guitar/vocals (he's also in Nope and Hookworms) and David Michael Shields on drums (he's also in Monster Killed By Laser).

Founded in 2005 they started life as a grungy noise duo. However the influence of late 70's/early 80's new wave (Devo, B52's, Pere Ubu) and mid 80s soundtracks (Teenwolf, Karate Kid, Ghostbusters), not to mention an obsession with They Might Be Giants soon turned them into the beast we have today.

Their 3rd album 'Dudes vs. Bad Dudes' came out in April and is their first record to include singing on every track.
