Need advice about your state pension? In his Autumn Statement, Chancellor George Osborne announced a further increase in state pension age and an opportunity for some people to boost their additional state pension. Earlier this year Pensions Minister Steve Webb announced plans for a flat-rate pension which will affect people who reach state pension age from 6 April 2016. The provisions are currently progressing through parliament in the Pensions Bill and should receive Royal Assent next year.
