Ian claims there's been a radiator leak at the restaurant. Seeing Denise head off to Oxford alone, Jane stops packing the car for her trip with Masood and suggests to Ian they take Lucy for breakfast. Cindy's texting Lucy when Ian comes in and realises Lucy's bed hasn't been slept in. Masood's disappointed to see Jane heading off with Ian.
Lucy wakes up with Lee in the restaurant and the pair eat desserts for breakfast. Ian, Jane and Fatboy walk in on them. Ian's mortified and Lucy and Lee escape, laughing, nearly running into Lauren. Lee tells Lucy he'll see her at Roxy's party later.
Peter's shocked when Ian shows him the drugs. Lucy's getting ready for work when Peter and Ian walk in. Ian reveals they know about the drugs and Lucy flees. Meanwhile, Jane confides in Masood about the drugs, explaining Ian's children are all her babies, really. Masood unpacks the car and Jane promises they'll go away soon. Masood spots an unhappy Lucy heading to Max's. Lucy avoids Lauren's questions about Lee and ignores Ian's texts. Max hears Fatboy telling the boys he saw Lucy naked; he heads home and tries to get Lucy alone.
At the Vic, Lee's being flippant about Lucy when Ian walks in and asks if he can have a word. Lee denies all knowledge of the cocaine - insisting he's not into that. Max and Lauren are surprised when Lucy rushes out, angry, after Lee phones her. Later, Dexter, Lauren and Jay wait in the Vic for Whitney and Lucy before Roxy's housewarming party. Whitney arrives, dressed up, and Lauren and Johnny have to break the news about Lee and Lucy. Upset, Whitney declares that she hates Lucy.
Meanwhile, Lucy confronts Ian. Ian wants to talk but Lucy insists she's just come to get her cocaine back and says she'll move out when Ian maintains she has no right to privacy under his roof. Lucy explains that she feels like Ian hates her. Ian denies it -she's the best thing she ever did, he only pushes her so hard because he knows what she can be. Breaking down, Lucy asks why he never tells her. Ian comforts her and tells her he loves her - Peter's a good lad but she's the one. Peter's in the doorway and has overheard. Lucy follows Peter out, telling Ian she takes coke to block out whatever thoughtless thing he said last.
Outside, Lucy can't find Peter. Whitney gives Lucy a dark look. Upset, Lucy tells Lauren she'll join her, Dexter and Jay at Roxy's party after she's left Peter a message. Lucy approaches Max at the car lot. He suggests they go to a hotel but she refuses - doesn't he want to be able to look his daughter in the eye again? Lucy starts to walk off but Max grabs her arm. Lucy pulls away, insisting she wants to start being a better person. Lucy leans on the wall outside the Beales', distressed. Her phone beeps. After a last look up at the house, Lucy walks off up Bridge Street and into the night. Later, as her phone plays voicemails from Cindy, Lee and Ian, Lucy lies dead in a clearing in the woods...
Libby and Denise are thrilled to see each other in Oxford. Denise avoids Libby's questions about home. Proud, Libby shows Denise her name plate beside a door - she's now a research assistant. Denise insists on taking a picture. Libby calls Denise on her evasiveness; Denise starts crying, admitting she doesn't want to marry Ian and doesn't know what to do. Back home, Denise leaves Libby a voicemail - she's going to end it with Ian tomorrow - before taking off her engagement ring.
Johnny tells the Carters about Lee and Lucy getting caught by Ian. Nancy kicks off the pool tournament; Alfie and Stan run a book. Nancy tells Johnny she'll come to Roxy's party once the pool's over. Mick wonders where Lee is.
In the Vic, Charlie offers to buy Ronnie a drink; she says she's looking for Phil, not a relationship and he counters - relationship? She'll be lucky. Later, Ronnie smiles at Charlie and he follows her out.
