In the Beechgrove Garden, Jim is spring cleaning in the conservatory. He takes note of the progress and care of the camellias and the citrus, and moves on to pot on the stunning houseplants - streptocarpus and saintpaulias.

George is commemorating WW1 by sowing a field of Flanders red poppies.

Carole continues with work in the greenhouse, where there is a conveyor belt of plant activity going on; still sowing seeds, moving on to pricking out, potting on and finally some wee plants are ready to be hardened off in the new cold frames outside.

Carole also starts off fruit and veg in containers, packing our small decking garden with as much produce as possible to show that it is possible to grow your own in a tiny space.

In a new strand for Beechgrove, Chris is helping two families in new build housing developments to take the builder's rubble that they have been left with and turn that into the garden of their dreams. This is Chris's second visit to the families. He returns to find out what they have managed to achieve while he's been away and he takes them onto the next stage of development.
