Drama series telling the story of WWI as seen through the eyes of children. In this episode, a girl gives a boy a white feather as a sign of cowardice.

An 11-year-old girl gives an 18-year-old boy a white feather as a sign of cowardice. This encourages him to volunteer for the army. After he is sent to France, she meets his blind grandmother, who is completely alone without her grandson. Sadly she learns that the boy was killed at the front. The girl feels guilty and keeps the terrible news from his grandmother - but the truth is revealed.
