The year comes to an end and we find out who's getting kept on for the students' Level 3 as Austin, Binky and Angel do their final hair exercise. Second-year student Lesley describes her journey starting off commuting to Glasgow from Dunoon every day to moving into a Glasgow flat with seven other girls. She passes her grades and celebrates with a house party but has to do all her flatmates' hair for the big night! Salon director John takes his team white-water rafting for their annual staff day out. The annual assistants' show is the conclusion to their academic year and a chance to show friends and family what they've learnt as they prepare for the big catwalk event. Stylist and teacher Sarah Jane goes shopping for wedding rings with soldier fiance Jamie and then we see her on her big day, but who will she trust to do her hair? The programme ends with the assistant's show which is a very glamorous event and the competition is fierce on the day between the different salons to prove they are the best. Spectacular hairstyles end this series with most of our featured students passing on to the next level of their journey to becoming the next top stylists of the future.
