Mary Anne Hobbs is joined by Colin Meloy of the Decemberists, who talks about British folk music.

It's a folky kind of morning. Colin Meloy, erudite leader of the Decemberists, guests. He speaks on the subject of British Folk. Expect to hear some seriously good folk tunes.
The Decemberists are an indie folk rock band from Portland, Oregon. They have released seven albums of real beauty, all of which have been inspired to some degree by folklore and history.
Yesterday Colin Meloy made his debut on 6 Music as a presenter, hosting a two hour programme at 7pm. It is well worth checking out if you missed it.
