Ronnie attempts to put her relationship back on track. Masood and Shabnam reach breaking point.
Dean informs the stunned party guests that Shabnam had a baby and told him she died - her name’s Jade. Kush holds distraught Shabnam while Denise and Shirley usher Dean out. In the kitchen, Shabnam cries that everyone’s judging her. Kush soothes that her friends want to support her. In the party, Bushra’s gossiping about the Masoods’ past, insisting Carmel should know what kind of family her son’s marrying into. Carmel cuts her short – she’d dearly love to slap Bushra. Masood admits to Tamwar he told Shirley about Jade, protesting he was trying to do the right thing. Kush leads a fragile Shabnam back into the party but she soon bolts.
Meanwhile, Dean wants to know if the foster family told Shirley anything about Jade. Shirley’s evasive, insisting he accept Jade’s life is elsewhere but Dean resolves to visit the foster family tomorrow. Back home, Shabnam icily wonders how Dean knew. Masood admits his guilt but insists Jade deserves a chance to have a family. Shabnam declares Masood weak, while he retaliates that Shabnam’s a hypocrite to wear a hijab and exactly like her mother, obsessed with shame and reputation. Shabnam bans Masood from the wedding. As Kush sees Carmel out, he’s awkward as Carmel wishes he’d fix Stacey up with someone. Stacey apologises for what she said earlier and Kush watches her go.
Shabnam informs Kush she won’t spend another night under the same roof as Masood, while Masood badgers Kush to get Shabnam to see sense. When he refuses, Masood accuses him of wanting Jade out of the way because she doesn’t fit in with his plans. Kush snaps that after his wife died in her prime, he doesn’t make plans - all he fears is losing Shabnam - and tells Masood Shabnam wants him gone. Masood refuses, insisting Shabnam won’t get rid of him like she did her daughter. Later, safely installed at No. 3 with Martin and Stacey, Shabnam gratefully thanks Kush for standing by her. Kush hugs her, eyeing Stacey over her shoulder.

Over dinner, Charlie’s hopeful for the future now they’re a proper family again, but Ronnie can’t help mentioning Roxy. Charlie goes to lead her upstairs and Ronnie nervously follows; in the bedroom, things are getting heated when Ronnie pulls away – she can’t do this. As Ronnie sleeps, Charlie gets a phone call about Roxy and quietly slips out. Ronnie’s eyes fly open. Later, she watches the webcam to see Roxy enter, locked in a passionate embrace with a shadowy figure; her fears seem confirmed when Charlie’s mobile goes to voicemail. Charlie returns to find Ronnie in tears and explains he’s been out looking for Roxy, surprised to realise she brought someone home. Hugely relieved, Ronnie kisses Charlie tenderly. In Roxy’s bedroom, flushed Roxy emerges from under her duvet, giggling, and turns to kiss the man beside her - Dean.
Fed up Carol’s leaving Singles Bingo when Buster guesses her fact is she ran cross country at school. Carol’s charmed as she and Buster chat; Buster reveals he’s a biker and she remarks she might have something he’d be interested in. Later, Shirley makes a beeline for Buster and Carol laughing outside the Butchers’ with Jim’s old motorbike; she drunkenly sneers it’s not the only bike around before hitting Carol in the face.
A large box is delivered for Kim to the Albert but Sharon declines to tell her. In the upstairs bar, Kim has no customers and rants on the phone about a missing package. Later, Kim’s outraged to realise she wasn’t told it had arrived and urges the punters upstairs to see her showstopper. Kim gleefully un-wraps a vodka luge in the image of a male torso, then stops in horror as she stares at its nether regions. Patrick, Pam and Les arrive just in time to get a right eyeful. Downstairs, Vincent’s impressed with the packed bar and Sharon’s smug to know she’s won. Kim’s despondent until Sharon offers to run The Albert together as a team.
