Songwriter Charlie Dore shares her 70s memories, including attending drama school, a stint in children's tv and recording the US hit single 'Pilot Of The Airwaves'.
At the start of the decade, Charlie was a young teenager, but after forming a bluegrass band which played in a west London pancake house, she found herself signed by Island Records in 1978. She made her first album in Nashville and London and released a single, Pilot of the Airwaves, which became a hit in the US. Since then, she has had success as a songwriter with songs covered by George Harrison, Tina Turner, Lisa Stansfied, Celine Dion, Black, UB40, Status Quo, Paul Carrack and a UK No 1, 'Ain't No Doubt' for Jimmy Nail.
Also on the show, Johnnie will delve into the 成人论坛 archive to unearth what was happening this week in music in the 70s, and another classic seven-inch single will be added to Johnnie's Jukebox.
