The latest political reaction as Theresa May confirms she is expecting a two-year transitional period post-Brexit in a flagship speech in the Italian city of Florence.

It was hailed as a flagship speech on Brexit, Theresa May set out what she called a two year "implementation period" to smooth the Brexit process after the UK's official exit in 2019. The Prime Minister also promised to honour the country's commitments to the EU's budget period, which lasts until 2020.

The minicab app Uber has been told it will lose its right to operate in London. Transport for London says it will not renew the company's licence after the end of this month because of a number of failings linked to passenger safety. Uber has 21 days to appeal.

Also, growing numbers of NHS mental health staff are taking sick leave for their own psychological issues. An investigation for 5live's State, the number of workers taking long term leave for anxiety, depression, stress and other mental health conditions has gone up by nearly a quarter in the last 5 years.

And a tiny Irish island is buzzing with excitement over an unclaimed lottery ticket, worth half a million euros. Bere Island in County Cork has just 180 possible winners living on it -- and no one's claimed the money yet.We speak to the woman who runs the island's post office and sold the winning ticket.
