Courtney Pine and Omar In Session

Jamie Cullum presents a session from UK jazz legends Courtney Pine and Omar.

Jamie Cullum plays an hour of jazz ranging from its heritage to its future.

This week he has two of his favourite acts in session, Courtney Pine and Omar who recently collaborated together on the album 'Black Notes From The Deep'. Courtney talks about the process behind making the album before introducing two tracks, an original composition and a cover of a well-loved Herbie Hancock classic.

Jamie also delves into his own record collection, spinning his favourite tracks from jazz's illustrious history as well as contemporary artists that are pushing the genre forwards.
