Episode 7

On the islands, the judges see a stunning upside down house, a home fusing Scotland and America, and one with views so striking they almost miss the house.

Three property experts are searching for Scotland鈥檚 Home of the Year. They are architect and university teacher Michael Angus, renowned Glasgow-based interior designer Anna Campbell-Jones and globally recognised lifestyle blogger Kate Spiers. This time, they are judging three homes on the Scottish Islands.

On the Isle of Skye, they find a single-storey build with breathtaking views. Its rough, breeze block interior may not be the most obvious route to creating a comfortable home, but it proves a revelation to our judges.

On Arran, a custom-built home blends Scottish and American influences to stunning effect and presents one judge with their first ever neon sofa.

Lastly, an upside down house in the south of Arran has the main living space upstairs, making the most of the striking views. Each home is scored out of ten for functionality, distinctiveness and clever design - but only one can make it through to the final.
