Ahead of his appearances at the Country 2 Country festival , actor/musician Charles Esten (Deacon Claybourne on hit TV show 'Nashville') has the first of two Country Playlists.

This week there are new country songs from Eric Church, Chris Janson, Carly Pierce with Lee Brice, and Ingrid Andress alongside classics from Merle Haggard, Bruce Springsteen and Nick Lowe, Americana from Keb Mo', Blackie & The Rodeo Kings and Darius Rucker and one or two songs from Charles himself!

Country 2 Country is the biggest country music festival in Europe, with over 200,000 fans attending over three days in London, Glasgow & Dublin; this year artists appearing include - apart from Charles himself! - Eric Church, Luke Combs, Darius Rucker, The Shires, Tanya Tucker, The Cadillac Three, Brett Young and Tenille Townes.

Radio 2 is live from the festival in London at 20.00 on Saturday March 14th, and The Country Show will have highlights of all three nights on March 19th & 26th, and April 2nd.
