Celebrating 100 programmes with whin champagne and a Jimmy Young-style take on the current situation on this week’s Kintra.

Kintra celebrates 100 programmes as Paula McIntyre makes whin champagne, there’s music on the doorsteps in Larne and chat and banter with William Caulfield.

Helen Mark and the team are celebrating Kintra’s 100th programme and there’s champagne to be made! (Email the team for the recipe - kintra@bbc.co.uk) Paula McIntyre hokes round the hedgerows for whin bushes to gather the gorse flowers (whin) for the recipe. There’s music from the doorsteps of Larne as Willie Hill hears from the Brodison Family, Jonnie Crawford has a chat with comedian William Caulfield who also brings a few of Jimmy Young’s characters along and Rab Lennox hears that while the big pipe band competitions may be cancelled for the year, there’s a glimmer of hope for some pipers.
The Kintra team loves to hear from listeners – so why not get in touch with a yarn or maybe even suggest a tune you’d love to hear. kintra@bbc.co.uk .
