Lucy Alexander is joined by three entrepreneurs to watch customers test and score their inventions: a smartphone holder, heated mittens and a hexagonal frying pan.

Joined in the studio by presenter Lucy Alexander, three inventors watch footage of customers as they unbox, test, review and score their precious products. In today鈥檚 episode, Sam, Mark and Freddie are all hoping to receive the highest scores from the customers to be crowned today鈥檚 winner.

It was the familiar tale of a dropped phone down the loo that was to provide the inspiration for husband and wife team Sam and Geoff. Working as a photographer, Sam needed her phone nearby, so the pair came up with a wearable silicon smartphone holder that stretches around the phone like an elastic band and is attached to a lanyard making it harder to pinch, lose or drop down the loo!

Mark enjoyed getting his young kids outside in the pram for some fresh air, but in the winter months he was less enthusiastic about having freezing cold hands. Finding existing hand warmers merely lukewarm, Mark came up with a pair of heated mittens that not only keep your digits toasty but also incorporates a battery to charge your mobile phone.

Moving from Sweden in 2008, Freddie started his own chef鈥檚 knife company from his kitchen in London. Buoyed by the interest in their unique design, he wanted to apply his aesthetic to another kitchen essential, the humble frying pan. Noticing that many pans were messy when decanting the contents into a plate, he came up with a hexagonal shape that allows for precision pouring of sauces.

Once all three inventors have watched the customer reviews and given their own thoughts on the feedback, Lucy reveals who has won the coveted The Customer Is Always Right winner鈥檚 trophy.
