The coronavirus pandemic has disrupted cancer services, with one charity estimating some 3,500 fewer people have been diagnosed with cancer since March last year than would be expected. And that was just up until November 2020.

Eye on Wales takes a look at the strain this is putting on people living with a cancer diagnosis.

Programme presenter Oliver Hides hears from a senior cancer doctor who advises that NHS cancer services will need more resources to catch up with the backlog of cancer cases once coronavirus is on the retreat.

And he hears how lobbying by cancer charities for Wales to have its own cancer recovery plan 鈥� as in England and Scotland 鈥� is meeting 鈥減ush back鈥� from ministers.
