Ramsay MacMahon is a firm believer in escaping the city at the weekend for the wilds of Scotland. In this programme he leaves the stress of city life behind him and travels to Assynt, a paradise of white sand beaches and rugged hills.
Arriving in Assynt, Ramsay wastes no time in heading to climb one of its most famous hills, Stac Pollaidh. At the spikey summit, he gets breathtaking views of the neighbouring hills and rock formations - a true geologist's paradise.
After a day hiking in the hills and gulping in fresh air, Ramsay spends the night at Stoer Lighthouse, perched on the cliff tops of Assynt’s coast and the perfect spot for stargazing.
Revived and ready for more outdoor adventure the next day, Ramsay walks out to the incredible sea stack the Old Man of Stoer before strolling along the shores of Achmelvich Bay with its turquoise water and white sands.
