The workshop is full of history and memories as a stunning Polish cloak and a collection of family rings are among the remakers’ transformations.

Loved-but-unused treasures are transformed into contemporary and useful items by a team of expert crafters. Sabrina Grant hosts as the owners part with their possessions and return later to see what they have become.

A beautiful and unusual Polish cloak which belonged to Linda’s father is brought to the workshop. He was born in Poland, and as a musician, wore the cloak when playing at events celebrating Polish folk music. Now it is a connection to music and her dad, but Linda would love to see it become something she can see and use every day. Master upholsterer Alex and blacksmithing sculptor Leigh have very different ideas for Linda to choose from.

Ken arrives with a collection of family rings and gemstones that he would like jewellery maker Disa to make sparkle again as something new. His mum in particular loved jewellery, and Ken thinks creating something special from the collection would be an ideal heirloom to pass down to the next generations. Disa’s expertise guarantees the transformation will be perfect.

Finally, mechanics and metals expert Titch has a favour to ask of seamstress Elizabeth. Titch is a former Royal Marine commando and served for 20 years in the military. His dress uniform, regimental T-shirts and other military clothing are shut away in drawers, but they hold so many memories for him. Elizabeth comes up with a stunning artwork that leaves normally talkative Titch lost for words.
