A huge wooden playhouse that doesn鈥檛 fit a new garden and traditional Jamaican fabric that connects a mother and daughter six thousand miles apart are among today鈥檚 transformations.
Sabrina Grant presents as objects arrive at the workshop 鈥� unused but too precious to be thrown out. A team of expert crafters are ready to transform them into contemporary and functional items.
A clapped out trailer and an enormous wooden garden playhouse are in the workshop today. Danny鈥檚 new house doesn鈥檛 have the space for them, and they鈥檝e both seen better days. But the playhouse in particular brings back precious memories of family time and having fun. Woodworking wonder woman Daisy and metal sculptor Leigh compete for the chance to make radical transformations.
Seamstress and designer Chinelo has the challenge of transforming a piece of traditional Jamaican fabric. Ava has had it in her wardrobe for years and would love it to be out and on show, as it isn鈥檛 just an important part of her cultural heritage, it was a present from her mum who still lives in Jamaica. Chinelo鈥檚 determined to transform the fabric into something Ava will love.
Dave has been collecting T-shirts for decades, ones that express his identity and bring back memories. But they鈥檙e taking up space, and he feels it鈥檚 time they became something else. Interior designer Rob thinks he has just the design to capture a sense of nostalgia and breathe new life into Dave鈥檚 collection.
