Episode 19
A vintage sewing table with great sentimental value and a martial arts expert’s karate belts are among the transformations by the team of exceptionally skilled craftspeople.
Naomi brings her grandma’s beautiful sewing tables to the workshop. She loves sewing, and her grandma was a huge part of her life. Naomi is getting married soon and would love to bring memories of her grandma into her new home. Carpentry expert Shelley and fine furniture maker Daisy pitch stunning ideas for Naomi to choose from, taking the elements of the sewing tables to create new items that will always remind her of her grandma.
Ricky has a black belt in karate, having learnt the martial art since he was six. His old belts and karate suit are really important to him, but they have no purpose now. He’d love to have something to give to his daughter to inspire her karate journey – and seamstress and textiles expert Elizabeth comes up with the perfect transformation to do just that.
Rob is an expert interior designer, but it’s fair to say that he’s used to working on bigger interiors than his next project, a 1960s transistor radio. It belongs to Claire, who remembers her gran listening to it as she worked as a baker and a dress maker. Rob explores the radio’s insides before coming up with a very clever and functional transformation for Claire.
