Clare Balding and Alex Scott introduce coverage of the opening ceremony from Tokyo's National Stadium.
Live coverage from Tokyo鈥檚 National Stadium, where, after a delay of a year, the games of the thirty-second Olympiad will finally be declared open and the Olympic flame will be lit. The global pandemic and the suffering it has caused means that the ceremony will be simpler than had been originally envisaged, but it is sure to still be a spectacular and moving showpiece as Japan welcomes the athletes of the world.
Presented by Clare Balding and Alex Scott, with ceremony commentary from Hazel Irvine and Andrew Cotter.
