Episode 8
Nigel Havers hosts as five dealers bid to buy items brought in by the public, including a coin-operated giraffe, a dynamite detonator and a bubblegum dispenser.
Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.
First through the doors, Jackie and her daughter Michelle have brought in Geri, a coin-operated giraffe. With Jackie hoping to wind down her business providing shops with children鈥檚 rides and go on a cruise, can she convince the dealers to part with the cash and find a new home for Geri? Next to face the dealers is Brian, with a bit of nineties nostalgia - a bubblegum dispenser repurposed as a lamp. Will the dealers light up when they see this one-off piece, and will it net Brian a sweet deal? Third in is Laura, with a reverse painting from China. She thinks it could be worth a small fortune, but is she right? Hoping to make a bang is Neil, with an early dynamite detonator, but will the dealers want to spend their cash on this unique piece of engineering history? Last through the doors is new dad Joe, who is hoping his recent purchase of a Thomas the Tank Engine pedal car will be his ticket to a top trade with the dealers.
Today's dealers are Adi, Jo, JB, Jane and Tash.
