Episode 6
Nigel Havers hosts as five dealers battle each other to buy items brought in by the public, including an 1860s game of Kings and Queens, a set of samovars and a 1970s monkey.
Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.
First through the doors is Kasha, with a piece of 1970s nostalgia - a wind-up toy monkey who plays the cymbals. Next, Peter has a set of highly polished samovars for sale. Tash is intrigued, but will she be willing to bid what Peter is expecting? Arriving next is Haider, with some stained-glass windows that he hopes will light up the bidding room. Sean has brought in an old platform ticket machine. It鈥檚 a decorative piece that鈥檚 sure to catch the attention of the dealers, but will they be willing to hit his dream price? Lastly, Joy wants to sell a very rare find, an antique game of kings and queens. Nigel and the dealers are fascinated, and a bidding war is on the cards.
Today's dealers are Jane, Tash, JB, Adi and Jo.
